Our story brings together two companies that each spent decades building strong reputations in the industry. Founded in 1989, Superior Tank Lines grew through its commitment to safe, reliable fuel transportation throughout the West Coast and became employee-owned in 2020. That legacy is joined by Williams Tank Lines, founded by Mike and Marlys Williams in 1976, which grew from a small family business into one of the region’s largest petroleum carriers, serving hundreds of customers throughout the Western United States. Following the merger of Superior Tank Lines and Williams Tank Lines, our employees now share in one unified Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and a much broader organization. Together, our operations span California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, and Nevada, with a network of locations and a fleet serving customers from the Canadian border to the Mexican border. Across that footprint, our teams provide around-the-clock transportation of gasoline, diesel, ethanol, and other bulk petroleum products for customers ranging from independent operators to major oil companies. While our company has grown in size and reach, the values that built both organizations remain at its foundation.
