Sandman Structural Engineers (SSE) is a 100% employee-owned structural engineering firm headquartered in Moorhead, Minnesota. Founded in Moorhead in 2005 by Kurt Sandman, SSE has grown to three Minnesota offices with more than 80 employees serving clients nationwide. . The firm works with architects, developers, contractors, fabricators, and building owners on projects ranging from multi-family housing and senior living to warehouses, agricultural facilities, and specialty steel and aluminum structures. SSE became employee-owned in 2024, when it converted to 100% employee ownership through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
