Kinney Construction Services is a 100% employee-owned commercial, civil, and renewable energy construction firm headquartered in Flagstaff, Arizona. The company traces its roots to 1982, when founder Tim Kinney graduated from Northern Arizona University's College of Engineering and went on to found and run a general contracting firm in New York City. After selling that business in 1997, he returned to Arizona and incorporated Kinney Construction Services in Flagstaff in 1999. Kinney now operates from its Flagstaff headquarters with additional offices in Phoenix and operations in the Verde Valley, performing commercial building, civil construction, and renewable energy work across Arizona and nationwide. Kinney became a 100% employee-owned company on February 1, 2025, when it implemented an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan).
