Hughes-Peters

Electric Wholesalers; Electronic Markets

Distribution & Wholesale

Hughes-Peters is an employee-owned distributor of electromechanical products headquartered in Dayton, Ohio. The company was founded in 1921 by John Hughes and Henry Peters. Hughes-Peters saw several changes through it's rich history but has cemented it's place as, “The biggest little distributor in the Midwest". The company now has 10 locations spread across a majority of the United States.

In 2021 Hughes-Peters became employee-owned when they implemented an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). This option was appealing to the company as it allows the owners to remain in control, while also giving the dedicated employees a wealth-building opportunity to share in the company’s success.
