HRA was founded in 1996 on the principles of integrity and exceptional client service. Over the years, the company has focused solely on executive architecture in collaboration with various design firms for private-sector corporate, developer, and institutional clients.  The firm prides itself on being agile, innovative, non-hierarchical, and resolutely non-corporate. 

In 2015, House & Robertson Architects became employee-owned when they established an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). While HRA's work is highly technical, its success hinges on the exceptional quality and integrity demonstrated by the architects and staff throughout the organization. Their dedication to their clients' and partners' achievements remains unwavering. As owners, employees benefit from their hard work when the company is successful.
