Harpoon Brewery is an employee-owned craft brewery headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. Harpoon was founded in 1986 by three friends who loved beer and loved drinking beer together but found the beer choices at the time to be limited. Traveling through Europe and experiencing the rich traditions of European brewing and beer drinking enhanced their love of beer and opened their eyes to the rich beer culture they wanted back home. They decided to build a brewery so that they could brew the beers that they wanted to drink.

In 2014, Harpoon Brewery became employee owned when it established its Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Employee owners are fully invested in their work because they have an ownership stake in the success of the business. 

Everyone at Harpoon Brewery shares the belief that they make great drinks to bring people together. Harpoon has expanded to a second brewery in Windsor, VT. Harpoon’s line of craft beer features its award-winning IPA and seasonal beers, along with special limited releases.
