Hall Contracting of Kentucky is a 100% employee-owned company in the construction industry headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky. In 1954, founder Kenneth Hall initiated his venture in trenching by procuring his first trencher to dig trenches for the Louisville Gas & Electric Company. This marked the foundation of Hall Contracting, which swiftly evolved into a thriving business. The company's expansion encompassed diverse domains of work, encompassing pipe installation, concrete foundations, cross-country pipelines, and infrastructure projects. 

In 2002, Hall Contracting of Kentucky became employee-owned when they implemented an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Mr. Hall's vision emphasized that employees should partake in the company's prosperity. Hence, an Employee Stock Ownership Plan ("ESOP") was established over two decades ago, granting employees partial ownership of the company and a financial stake in their accomplishments. The ESOP program mandates employee participation after meeting specific criteria, including work hours and age. Contributions to the ESOP are solely made by the company, not employees themselves.

Unlike publicly traded stock subject to market fluctuations, Hall's stock value is appraised annually by an independent valuation firm designated by the ESOP trustee. These appraisals have yielded an average annual increase of 16% since 2002.
