Founded in 2007 by Greg Gordon, a third-generation builder, the company now operates from offices in Dallas, Austin, and Houston, with roughly 140 employee-owners providing design-build, design-assist, and general contracting services across commercial office, retail, healthcare, and industrial projects throughout Texas. Gordon Highlander became employee-owned in 2020 when it implemented an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).Employee ownership reinforces a culture where, as the company puts it, every team member is expected to take ownership and pride in their work, from field staff with authority to halt unsafe conditions to the leadership team.
