California Coast University is a 100% employee-owned university headquartered in Santa Ana, California. After it’s founding in 1973 by Dr. Thomas Neas, the company became a pioneer in distant learning. This new offering for students aided those who had geographic, professional, or personal time limitations that kept them from attending in person classes. California Coast University became employee-owned in 2017 when the company implemented an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Employee ownership reinforces the company’s commitment to continually improve its existing non-traditional programs.
